Good handling and suspension make the KX250 very versatile. Make the power more versatile by adding a bolt on flywheel weight. Fast or slow, woods, desert, or MX we have a weight to suit your needs. Available in 7, 9, 11 or 13 ounces for 98-00 models. 8, 10 and 12 ounces for earlier years.

A flywheel weight enhances the torquey characteristics of the CR250 motor without sacrificing any of the fantastic over rev. Available in 8, 10, 12 and 14 ounces. Most woods and cross country riders may prefer the 12oz. Fast, aggressive wood racers, desert racers and some motocrossers may like the 10oz. For the serious moto head the 8oz may be the best. For those who like slower, more technical trails the 14oz works really well. All weights for the CR250 fit underneath the stock cover without the use of spacers.

 The RM250 in stock trim has less flywheel than most of the other 250s, which makes the engine rev very quickly. Gain some tractability and resistance to stalling by adding 6, 8, 10 or 12 ounces of flywheel weight. Most riders will ride better with more weight on the RM, including motocrossers.

This one of Steahly's most popular flywheels. Adding flywheel weight will enhance the strong low and mid range power of the YZ250 engine. Available in 9, 11 and 13 ounces. The 99-00 model fits under stock ignition cover without the use of spacers, earlier models come with a 1/10 inch plastic spacer.

Because of the lack of space the YZ 4-stroke weight requires a different type of mounting than most bikes. Steahly offers two different ways to add flywheel weight, each with advantages. A. The Ty Davis weight is a do-it-yourself installation kit. It comes with all the necessary drill bits and taps. You should have a drill press and 2 to 4 hours to install this type of weight. We also offer a kit that comes with all three weights so you can change them for different riding conditions. B. The Steahly Weight installed by press fitting a weight ring and securing it with two bolts. This type of mounting is better balanced than the Ty Davis style but it is not easy to take off. Send us your stock flywheel and we will install a weight for you. We also offer a new stock flywheel with a weight mounted so you can quickly change from stock to a weighted flywheel.

More power needs more flywheel. Add a flywheel weight to make the power more controllable, reduce wheel spin and stalling. You have to either be crazy or Superman to rider a 500 in the woods without a flywheel weight. Most motocrossers will have faster lap times, especially when it is slick or rough. Desert racers, save your strength and your rear tyre. Your bike may start a little easier, and you won't stall nearly as much. Most of you will wonder why you didn't put on a flywheel weight sooner.
